Delete your account

E-Motion Chat by ForwardOnly LLC

You can delete your E-Motion Chat account and its data at any time, on iPhone or Android.

In the app (fastest)

1. Open E-Motion Chat and go to the Profile tab.
2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
3. Confirm. Your account is deleted right away.

By email

If you can't open the app, email emotionchatsupport@forwardonlyllc.com with the subject "Delete my account" and your nickname. We'll confirm and delete it within 30 days.

What gets deleted

• Your profile: nickname, bio, profile and chat pictures, photos, languages and settings.
• Your Motions, Motion photos and approximate location.
• Your circle memberships, waves, ratings, blocks and photo reveals.
• Your notification registrations and listening settings.

What may be kept

• Messages you already sent stay in the other person's chat history so their conversation isn't broken, but they're no longer linked to you; they show as from "Deleted account". To have them removed too, email us.
• Reports you made or that were made about your account, and records of bans, are kept for up to 2 years to keep the community safe and to meet legal obligations.
• Subscription purchase records are kept by Apple or Google and as required for tax and accounting.
• Your private mood journal never leaves your phone; deleting the app removes it.
